We were able to spend time in Bear Lake this sumer. My parents grow the most amazing garden, and my dad continues his life as a farmer. I love that our kids can see what it is like to live in a remote town and learn how to "work". Robbie helped my dad move sprinkler pipes, they all helped pick pees and shelled them. They loved picking the raspberries and strawberries. The kids were big helpers this summer. Robbie became a more "mature" 4-wheeler driver, and he rode a horse all by himself. The kids loved being outside for most of the day, going around bare-feet, playing at the Lake, playing with cousins, going to the cave, the rodeo, the Pickleville Playhouse, and visiting G. Grandma Arnell and eating all of her candy and succors.
The corn was beautiful and the kids loved to hide in it.
Lana was not a great helper picking and shelling peas, but it was so cute to have her out in the garden, roaming around, laying on the dogs, and throwing peas everywhere.
Bella loves to help with the garden. She is a big helper.
Robbie was a trooper, and he enjoyed shelling the peas. He also enjoyed listening and talking while we shelled. That's the fun part.
These are my parents gigantic potatoes. Parts of it was as tall as Lana.
